RANSA Footy Tipping Comp

Peter Edwards, Thursday, 11 March 2010

For the last few years we've run a NRL footy tipping competition with skippers and crew from the club along with a couple of my current and past students from Sydney Uni. If you're interested then you're more than welcome to join. It's purely for bragging rights (i.e. no entry fee and no cash prizes). There's also a weekly quiz of 10 questions for any footy tragic out there. URL is http://www.footytips.com.au/comps/sydneyuni&p=nrl10 If you are asked the password is: nrl10

RANSA Pirates Day - Sunday 21st March

Cyril Latimer, Monday, 22 February 2010

 Sunday 21st March     Pirates Day

Come and join us for the annual Pirates Day Race around the Harbour.  All funds raised will go to the Sir David Martin Foundation. Young people from the Foundation’s Triple Care Farm will be joining us out on the water.

The day starts under the big flagpole with a Pirate briefing where race instructions are handed out.  Importantly, this race is about cunning and local knowledge and you will be given a list of questions and clues to follow.  The race takes about an hour and a half to complete (under motor) and you should be ready to repel boarders at all times.

Following the race it’s back to home port (RANSA) where the BBQ will be available for you to cook your own food.  After lunch there will be the Rescue the Wench Race, Treasure Hunt, Tug of War competition and finally the awarding of prizes for Best Pirate and Wench,

Best Pirate Ship and overall winner.

This is a great day for kids (big and small).
